Puppy training should be fun and focused on not only basic obedience but how to trust you as their person.
We rotate between playing and small training exercises. This allows your puppy to learn recall while distracted and that coming to you doesn’t mean the fun will end.
Our unique curriculum is lead by a certified canine behaviorist, Nikki Johnson, and is rooted in positive behavioral training. This approach leads to a long last bond for a lifetime. Many of our clients end up signing up for canine good citizen classes and some move through training to become service and therapy dogs.
We welcome puppies of any breed and teach you how to identify correct play styles and when to step in as your puppy plays with others. This class is not only designed to teach your puppy, but you also! By having a better understanding of your puppy’s behaviors you can guide them throughout their life.
We meet weekly for 4 weeks, on Wednesdays. The first class is July 15th and the last class is August 5th.
Classes take place 7pm - approximately 8pm. You are welcome to bring your puppy’s dinner with you and can take a dinner break if needed.
All family members 16yrs+ are welcome to join.
Puppies with age appropriate vaccines are allowed to join. Puppies must have at least 1 bordetella and 1 distemper vaccine, as well as either a record of dewormer or a negative fecal test. You tell us what veterinarian to call for these records when registering for class. If you have a copy you can email those to us at AYFDogTraining@gmail.com
